La band indie rock americana torna in Italia con un’ unica data del loro concerto. Molto attesa sia per la loro musica che per la incantevole voce della voice del gruppo a stelle e a strisce, Beth Ditto, i Gossip si esibiranno all’ Estragon di Bologna il 31 Maggio 2010 alle ore 21. Tutto pronto dunque, per scatenarci sulle note di Standing in the way of control, Listen up, Jealous Girl, Heavy Cross e Love Long Distance.

Beth Ditto, la cantante dei Gossip, ha deciso di buttarsi nel mondo della moda…


L’esplosiva cantante firmerà una linea di abbigliamento per il marchio di taglie forti “Evans”. In un settore dove la magrezza è un valore assoluto, Beth piomberà come un ciclone. Gli abiti saranno nel suo stile: colori accesi, aderenze, gonne improbabili e fantasie impossibili. Chissà se molte ragazze decideranno di ingrassare per poter indossare i suoi abiti… Ieri sera alla cena di presentazione del suo nuovo impegno ha partecipato anche la magra per eccellenza Kate Moss.

“Heavy Cross” è la nuova canzone dei Gossip, la band capitanata da Beth Ditto. Il singolo anticipa l’album “Music For Men” di prossima uscita. Nell’attesa di poter vedere il gruppo in Italia a Torino allo Spazio 211, il 15 luglio, ecco il video che accompagna il pezzo “Heavy Cross”.

Tutto è iniziato qualche giorno fa (ne abbiamo parlato qui) quando Beth Ditto, la cantante dei Gossip aveva accusato Katy Perry di essere offensiva nei confronti del mondo gay per essersi per aver giocato col fingersi lesbica con la sua canzone “I Kissed a Girl”.  Adesso è arrivata la replica, pacata ma pungente di Katy Perry…


Le parole di Katy Perry: “Ho saputo che ha detto qualcosa su di me, non voglio entrare in una guerra di insulti con nessuno, quindi non voglio dire niente di male su di lei. Ma la cosa non mi impressiona. Nello scorso anno ho imparato che un’artista non deve mai insultare la musica di un’altro cantante”.

Beth Ditto è la stratosferica cantante dei The Gossip (saranno a Torino a luglio) che non perde mai occasione per far parlare di sè… Stavolta è al centro dell’attenzione per aver criticato Katy Perry e per aver dichiarato di voler duettare con Susan Boyle!


In una intervista al magazine Attitude, Beth Ditto ha accusato Katy Perry di essere offensiva nei confronti della cultura gay, la sua canzone “I Kissed A Girl”, secondo Beth, è solo un modo per fingersi lesbiche per attrarre i ragazzi.
Nelle stesse ore la cantante ha anche dichiarato che le piacerebbe molto cantare insieme a Susan Boyle, la bruttina diventata famosa dopo la sua partecipazione a un talent-show inglese.

I Gossip, la band guidata dalla atomica ed extra-large Beth Ditto, stanno per tornare in Italia. Lo scorso anno il successo della loro unica data a Roma fu grandissimo.


Quest’anno si esibiranno a Torino allo Spazio 211, il 15 luglio, pochi giorni prima dell’uscita del loro nuovo album “Music For Men”. L’album è prodotto da Rick Rubin (plurivincitore di Grammy e già produttore di Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, Slayer, System Of A Down, Audioslave, Metallica, Danzig e molti altri) e rappresenta la loro prima pubblicazione di materiale inedito per la Columbia Records. Ad anticipare questo nuovo lavoro è il singolo “Heavy Cross”.
