L’ ormai maggiorenne Gabriella Cilmi che ha esordito due anni or sono con il tormentone “Sweet About Me”, dichiarato il singolo più trasmesso e battuto dai circuiti radiofonici britannici lo scorso anno, torna in scena con il singolo “On A Mission” che lancia il nuovo album “Ten”. Il nuovo brano dell’artista italoaustraliana mira ad essere un mix di power-pop e  funk e secondo alcuni critici, andrebbe a discapito delle sue capacità vocali, rendendola quasi un’ imitatrice di Little Boots. Molto originale è il videoclip del brano che si ispira chiaramente al fumetto “Barbarella”, risultando molto sexy ed audace. Di seguito il testo ed il video ufficiale del singolo.

Gabriella Cilmi, dopo quasi due anni dalla publicazione di “Sweet About Me”, torna con “On A Mission”, primo singolo estratto dal nuovo album “Ten” che sarà pubblicato da Universal Music il 19 Marzo 2010. Intanto potremmo ascoltare nelle radio il primo singolo, mentre per il video del singolo dovremmo attendere il 18 Gennaio. Ma non è tutto. Infatti la cantante ha ricevuto numerosi record per i lavori precedenti. “Sweet About Me” ha venduto oltre 2 milioni di copie nel mondo, entrando nella Top 10  in 16 paesi diversi. Per non parlare delle visualizzazioni dei suoi video su Youtube. Insomma un grandissimo successo in tutto il mondo.
