A giudicare dal loro look sembrano le eredi di Cindy Lauper, direttamente catapultate nel 2009 dagli anni ’80. Sono le Dolly Rockers, il nuovo fenomeno pop britannico che già fa impazzire la stampa nonostante finora abbiano inciso solo due pezzi e il loro album non uscirà prima della fine dell’anno. Le Dolly Rockers sono molto critiche rispetto alle altre girls band fatte solo di look, niente cervello e canzoni che parlano di amori infranti. Le Dolly preferiscono cantare la voglia di divertirsi anche senza essere sempre perfettine e soprattutto le loro canzoni sono un inno all’amicizia. E proprio in virtù della vera amicizia che c’era tra le componenti del gruppo le Dolly elogiano, tra le girls band, solo le Spice Girls. Questo nuovo gruppo ha mosso i suoi primi passi a X Factor inglese ma sono contente di non averlo vinto, la loro vita avrebbe preso un’altra strada.
