Per il Natale 2009, due artiste della scena musicale mondiale ci propongono due cover, molto diverse tra loro della mitica e suggestiva “Last Christmas” degli Wham. Da una parte, Hilary Duff tempra il brano con la sua voce limpida e le sonorità non possono essere che pop andante, sound che ha fatto la fortuna della cantante di Houston; nel riarrangiamento proposto da Cascada, il sound si presenta molto più dance ed invita decisamente più a ballare. ascoltiamo queste due veriosni molto alternative di “Last Christmas”.

Nonostante l’ondata emotiva a seguito della sua scomparsa, Michael Jackson non ha raggiunto la vetta della classifica inglese. A far letteralmente impazzire i sudditi di Elisabetta II, in queste settimane, è un gruppo eurodance tedesco: Cascada.

Con il pezzo “Evacuate the dancefloor”, estratto dall’omonimo album, si sono aggiudicati il primo posto nella Top 40 dei singoli più venduti nel Regno Unito. Il gruppo, che ottenne un ottimo successo a livello mondiale nel 2005 col loro singolo “Everytime We Touch”, è composto dalla cantante Natalie Horler e dai dj/produttori Yanou e dj Manian. L’immagine “ufficiale” del gruppo è però solo la cantante, una giovane tedesca di madre inglese. Il loro ultimo singolo non è ancora molto conosciuto in Italia ma è un pezzo si candida a diventare uno dei brani simbolo di quest’estate, specialmente per il “popolo della notte”.
